Our Hex Socket Replacement Screws: WoodRiver set, upgrades the five adjustment screws on your WoodRiver bevel down bench planes, giving you significantly better control versus the factory supplied slotted screws.

Our hex socket screw set replaces the following five factory screws: lever cap screw, chip-breaker screw, 2 x frog pin retaining screws (bedrock style), and the frog adjustment screw.

Each screw has a 3/16 inch hex socket head so that all our plane adjustment screws can be adjusted using the same size hex driver.

The underside of the lever cap screw is countersunk so that it "grips" the lever cap when pressure is applied preventing the slippage that the factory supplied lever cap screw is prone to doing.

5 1/2 Woodriver Plane Conversion

This is a nice quality product that was relatively easy to install. However after installing, I'm not sure that this change over to a socket style screw head was really worth it. If you are one to change the mouth opening of your plane, then yes, this is a good idea. But, if you are like me and don't change the mouth opening all that often, it's not something to pursue. And I'm not certain changing the lever screw is worth it as well. It rarely needs adjustment. Now the screw for securing the chip break to the iron, this change is worth the investment. I always worry about stabbing myself with the blade style screw driver when it slips. I did not install the final screw. Just my humble opinion.

Amazing frog adjustments

These are a must for changing frog angle quickly.

Replacement screws are a joy.

These screws make throat adjustment a breeze. The engaged is much more positive with the ball hex as opposed to even a specialty screwdriver. The angle in conjunction with the adjustar simplifies frog adjustment immensely.

No more flat tip screwdriver slipping

I’ve upgraded my Wood River 5 1/2 with the Adjustar, shooting plane grip and the hex bolts, all allowing for a way more enjoyable experience while hand planing

Cosmanizing my Woodriver planes

I ordered an AdjuSTAR 2.0 for my Woodriver plane. I had to include the set of Hex Socket Replacement Screws so my plane was fully Cosmanized.
