Our Hand Plane Shooting Grip, known as "The Grip," easily mounts to the side of most bevel down Jack (#5, #5-1/2, or #6) or Jointer (#7 or #8) planes. The shape of "The Grip" has been painstakingly shaped to conform to the crotch of your hand giving you next level control on your bench plane when using it on the shooting board.
We have designed "The Grip" for easy mounting and our instructional videos takes you step-by step through the mounting process using either a drill press or a power hand drill. Use your own 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch , and chamfering drill bits or purchase our inexpensive drill bit kit.

Am Freitag 07.11.25 habe ich meine Bestellung zugestellt bekommen. Leider ist die Verpackung von WoodRiwer Hobel beschädigt angekommen. Das Hobeleisen hat den Karton durchgeschnitten (Der äußere Karton ist unbeschädigt angekommen). Der Hobel selber ist unbeschädigt angekommen aber zu Qualität des Hobels habe ich viel zum aussetzen.
1. Die seitlichen Teile des Hobels weisen Frässpuren auf (sehr raue Oberfläche). Die Hobel Sohle ist viel feiner, geschliffen.
2. Die Hobel Kappe ist nicht „cosmanisiert“ geworden
3. Der Handgriff weist Beschädigungspuren auf.
4. Die ausgetauschten Schrauben und das Steller Rad sind nicht beigelegt worden.
Ich habe euch ein paar Bilder mitgeschickt von dem Zustand des Handhobels. In meinen Augen entspricht diese Hobel nicht dem, was man unter einem „cosmanisertem“ Hobel erwarten sollte. Ich bin von dieser Qualität des Hobels enttäuscht und erwarte eine Stellung von euch. Der Rest der Bestellung ist unbeschadet angekommen. Womit ich positiv überrascht bin, ist, dass IBC Hobel Eisen. Das macht sehr wertigen Eindruck.

Received my Cosmanization package for my Woodriver 5-1/2 yesterday and immediately did the transformation. What a difference the star wheel makes! It makes it so much easier to adjust! I have not installed the Grip yet but hop to soon and I will update once I have.
Makes using the shooting board a breeze!
