Corrosion can deface a plane pretty quick and if left unchecked, ruin it. WoodRiver® Plane Sacks can help protect your investment in valuable planes.  Four sizes are available to fit the smallest block plane up to #7 or #8 Jointer plane.

WoodRiver Plane Sacks are made from a unique cotton fabric containing an oil and silicone base (non-migrating) that prohibits corrosion. Not only do they protect your hand plane against corrosion, since the natural wicking fabric keeps moisture away from the tool, but they also guard against scratching, dirt, and dust buildup.

Nice plane socks. A little itchy on the feet but they keep my Lie-Nielsen planes nice and dry.

as much as I'd like to use my tools every day thats not how life goes. The plane socks protect my investment and keep my planes ready to use when I return to the shop

I only use the plane occasionally so I can’t make much of a judgment yet. I bought the sack for rust protection, so far no problem. I am confidant it will be fine.
