Starrett precision Spring-Tempered Steel Rule with Inch graduations are perfect for precision measurements. They are fully hardened steel rulers but what is really great about them is that the graduations are so easy to see.  You can actually see the tiniest marks - amazing!

These have 4R graduations meaning they are marked in 8ths, 16ths, 32nds, and 64ths of an inch graduations.  They also have 1/32 of an inch graduations on the ends of the ruler, which is great for measuring the projection of router bits and table saw blades.
