Even in a well lit workshop like mine, a workbench light is a must. When cutting dovetails, tenons, or doing any work you want your workpiece lit up without any shadows. This adjustable lamp is what I use and I love it.
We beefed up the lamp's stem by inserting a steel rod into it to prevent the lamp from bending or breaking at this traditionally weak spot.
It comes with a special "Mushroom" shaped holder that we manufacture to hold the lamp. The "mushroom" fits into a 1 inch diameter bench dog hole. The mushroom has a 1/2 inch hole drilled through the center that the lamp stem fits into.

I’ve bought a number of lamps to illuminate pats of my bench for close, detailed work. They all suffered from the same problem; when stretched out they would slowly bend down to the bench making them useless for my purposes. Rob’s bench light is different; even when fully extended it stays put just like I’ve always wanted.
I have a lot of lighting in my shop and this lamp lets me see! Finally! It moves and positions easily, while maintaining its position. Sturdy and robust. I have a split-top bench with 3/4" holes, so I drilled a 1" hole in scrap 2x4" and clamp it anywhere along the channel or bench edge. Over, under, from the side...I can actually see. Love it!

Hazet used to make a German lighting fixture years ago. This unit is a perfect fit right down to the 1/2” re enforced mounting spade. The cart is mobile and moves right into the job making the lighting a big improvement.
Phenomenal build, and great range of motion, definitely recommend!
